This method is also fabulous for people with thinner hair.

The wefts are fully customized for your lowlights and highlights, they are much thicker so you need less on your head, they are durable and re-usable, and they are so gentle on your hair.

It takes only 30 minutes to apply, and lasts for up to 2 months before re-applying!

Your hair will grow in the meantime - perfect for bad haircuts.

My new favorite product for my hair extensions is Argan Oil (also called Moroccan Oil in the salon.) Absorbed nicely into the hair shaft, it protects against frizz and humidity while leaving my long hair shiny, healthy, tangle free, and with less drying time.

I buy a cheaper version of Moroccan oil "One 'n Only Argan Oil Treatment" from Sally's (our local discount beauty store). I always receive compliments, and the scent of this product is very attractive to my husband!

Argan oil is rare. Moroccan women work very hard to shell and crush the nuts before pressing the oil used for their cooking, skin, and hair.
I've never tried pure Argan oil on my hair just by itself before, but I'm sure I could find pure Argan oil in the gourmet isle of a larger grocery store.

For now, I'll stick to the hair care lines.

Deep conditioning is key to healthy looking hair extensions in these colder, moisture-sucking temperatures.
Most of us are in a hurry, don't deep condition properly, thus missing out on all the benefits.

Here's How to Deep Condition Properly:

  1. Dampen hair
  2. Towel Dry well
  3. Heat (1/4 cup of olive oil or grapeseed oil) mixed with (1/2 cup of deep conditioner) in microwave for 30 seconds
  4. Apply to hair and comb through (avoid hair extension bonds)
  5. Place hair in plastic bag, and do chores for an hour
  6. Shampoo and condition

And Voila! Soft, shiny, healthy hair!
